Jed advises clients on stand-alone licensing arrangements, technology development agreements, the acquisition and sale of privately and publicly owned companies, and the formation of joint ventures and technology collaborations within the United States and across borders. Clients regularly call on Jed to lead the complex negotiations of IP provisions necessary to implement these transactions and to manage the related diligence processes.  He has supported deals across a multitude of industries, including in the automotive, nuclear power, medical device, software, computing and telecommunications, life sciences, food and beverage, fintech, insuretech, block chain, cosmetics, health care, and consumer products industries.

Jed also advises clients regarding strategic patent portfolio development and counsels them in relation to patent enforcement strategies and defenses against threatened patent infringement litigation. Jed helps founders, executives, corporate patent committees, and other stakeholders at his clients rationalize their IP strategy with their business strategies to make sure their budgets are allocated in line with their business goals.

With his combined IP and transaction skills and experience mentoring early stage companies, Jed can serve as outside general counsel or outside in-house IP counsel for his clients, allowing for a deeper integration and greater leveraging of his capabilities.
